Department of Anatomy

Anatomy subject deals with structure of human body, especially as revealed by dissection and the separation of parts.

Here in our Anatomy department with help of expert faculties we provide facilities of dissection and introduction of organs to the medical students. Individual students can take part in dissection and enhance his/her knowledge about structure of human body. Understanding of structure human body is the base of understanding medical science, and thereby understanding morbid anatomy and surgical aspects well.


Department of Physiology & Biochemistry

Physiology deals with normal functioning of healthy human body, this includes study of neuromuscular system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system etc.

The department of physiology enhancing the students’ knowledge for normal functioning of all the systems of the body and thereby understand abnormalities in the functional changes of the body well.

We have well equipped physiology laboratory for conducting various experiments of physiology and biochemistry to impart practical knowledge to students.


Department of Homoeopathic Pharmacy

Homeopathic Pharmacy is a subject the deals with preparation of medicine from crude drugs substance. This includes collection, compounding, combining, preparing, preserving and standardizing drugs and medicines according to the Homoeopathic principle; and also dispensing medicines.

The homoeopathic pharmacy laboratory contains many specimens and charts of various drug substances from which medicines are prepared.


Department of Materia Medica

Homoeopathic Materia Medica is one of the most important subject from homoeopathic perspective. Study of homoeopathic materia medica includes sources, pathogenesis, development of sign and symptoms and relationship of various medicine used in homoeopathy.

The department of Materia Medica contain departmental library which contains more than 100 books, specimens for identification for medicinal substance and various charts for understanding homoeopathic medicine easily.


Department of Organon of Medicine & Homoeopathic Philosophy

Organon of medicine is a subject important for understanding homoeopathic philosophy and management of a case. The subject includes study of cardinal principles of homoeopathy, nature’s law of cure, vital force, miasm, case taking, drug proving, posology, diet and regimen etc. which are important for homoeopathic prescription and individualization.


Department of Pathology & Microbiology

Studying of Pathology means what is wrong. Pathology understands the cause and effects of disease process on the human body while microbiology deals with studying of microscopic structures and laboratory investigations.

Pathology department include various pathological practical and investigation of hospitalized patient.


Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

Forensic medicine is the subject that deals with the application of medical knowledge to the investigation of crime, particularly in establishing the causes of injury or death.

While toxicology is understanding effects of the toxic substance on healthy human being. In our department, we provide facilities to understand medico-legal aspects of medical practice.

Department of forensic medicine organize district court visit, FSL visit regularly.


Department of Practice of Medicine

The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle, permanent restoration of health is the basic of homoeopathic prescription the practice of medicine deals with the technique of the prescription of the remedy of the basis of the principles of homoeopathy.

The department has outdoor and indoor patients which helps the students for batter prescription.


Department of Surgery

Surgery deals with the treatment of a disorder by surgical intervention. For homoeopathic perspective study of surgery is important to diagnose surgical case and provide pre and post-operative homeopathic care as well as to treat pseudo surgical cases.

The department is having specimens, instruments for identification and charts.


Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics

Gynecology is the branch of medicine which deals with the functions and diseases specific to females, especially those affecting the reproductive system.

While obstetrics is relating to childbirth and the processes associated with it. The department runs various activities related to female health under National Health Mission of Gov. of India.

We have well developed gynec and Obst OPD at our hospital which provide good clinical exposure to the students.


Department of Community Medicine

Everyone will agree “Prevention is better than cure” In the Department of Community medicine students learn organize elementary epidemiological studies to assess the health problems in the community. For this he should be able to design a study, collect data, analyse, make a report and be able to participate in health information systems. Demonstrate the knowledge of principles of organizing prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases by incorporating the Hahnemannian concept of preventation and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Organize health care service for special groups like Mother, infants, school children, handicapped and geriatric. Promote community participation especially in areas of disease control, health education and implementation of national programme. Aware of national priorities and the goal to be achieved to complement primary health care including the “health for all”.

We expand the medical education and medical facilities by adopting villages, and arranges various free camps, dairy visit, infectious hospital visit and occupational hazards.


Department of Case taking & Repertory

Homoepathic physician must study the homoeopathic principles till he learns, what it is in sickness that guide to the curative remedy ( oragnon and homoeopathic philosophy / grammer ) he must study the materia medica until he learns, what is need to meet this demands ( Materia Medica / Literature ). He must then study the repertory until he lerans how to use it, so he can find what he wants, when he needs it ( repertory / Dictionary )

No one can know everything and that is why all honesty, one must admit that in conscientious homoeopathic doctor can practice homoeopathy in a serious and really scientific way without repertory.

In the department of repertory we have various charts and various software for learning the different repertories.


Library

Library of Anand homoeopathic Medical College and research Institute is having separate library for undergraduate and postgraduate faculty. The library is spacious, well ventilated and comfortable sitting arrangements.

In our library we have more than 6000 homoeopathic as well as books of allied science. we provide various magazines and homoepathic journals in our library for reference of students.


Computer Laboratory

The Computer laboratory having 10 computers with internet facility, the computers are also having basic softwares and repertory softwares like, Radar, Cara, Isis, Hompath and complete dynamics.

Students can utilize this softwatres for repertorisation of a case and reference works.


Seminar Hall – Hahnemann House

Seminar hall is having capacity of 100 sitting with stage and projection facility. In this seminar hall we arranges different departmental seminars, PG presentation.
